No need to rent a 575V/60Hz generator with the Bribox
why renting a generator is not an optimal solution
If your mains connection is not large enough it may be necessary, but in many cases using the Bribox is a better solution, instead of a generator and/or transformer , for testing machines at 600V/60Hz.
- There is no smoke or noise pollution from a 600V generator
- The connection cables can be kept short and only lie around the object to be tested.
- There is no need to add diesel.
- Even during testing, everything can be closed and locked
- No transformer 3 phase 575V required.
- An environmentally friendly alternative.
If your connection is not large enough, there is no other option than to use a generator.
Which machines should you test run at 575V/60Hz?
are there any exceptions?
Only Canada has 347/600V, this is the mains voltage, the motors are usually 575V, these values are therefore used interchangeably, the difference between 600V/60Hz and 575V/60Hz is the loss between mains and motor.
- For all electrically powered machines used in Canada it is a good idea to test them at 575V.
- If all motors are behind a frequency controller or servo drive, you could also test run with just a 3-phase transformer from 400V to 600V.
- Heating is not dependent on frequency, so you could also test run heating with just a 3-phase transformer 575V
If you are unsure whether it is necessary to test your machine at 575V/60Hz, please contact Bribox for advice.
